Aamir Khan Father Tahir Hussain Passes away

Aamir Khan Father Tahir Hussain, well-known filmmaker, died of a massive heart attack here Tuesday morning, sources close to the family said.

He is survived by his wife and two sons, Aamir and Faisal, and two daughters, Farhat and Nikhat.

Hussain is known for producing hits like "Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke" (1993) that starred son Aamir, "Dulha Bikta Hai" (1982), "Zakhmee" (1975), "Anamika" (1973) and "Caravan" (1971).

Brother of prominent writer-producer-director Nasir Hussain, Tahir Hussain produced around a dozen films though he wasn't as successful as his brother. The only film he directed was Tum Mere Ho starring son Aamir Khan but the film flopped.

In later years Tahir had a strained relationship with his son Aamir. Reportedly Aamir dissociated from his father when Hussain tried to raise finance for his film using Aamir's name. Tahir remarried and moved out with his second wife.

Family sources said Hussain died at Aamir Khan Residence Bandra. Aamir and his wife Kiran Rao are in the US for the Sundance Festival and are taking the first flight home. Hussain's grandson, Imran Khan, who made his debut with "Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na", is in New Zealand and will also be coming back. Funeral hold on 3rd Feb.-2010 Wednesday morning.

The 44 year old actor has been riding high with the success of his Bollywood Hit Movie 3 Idiots which has broken all Box Office records to become the highest grosser in the history of Bollywood. Aamir's name has been doing the rounds ever since he impressed everyone with his directorial debut Taare Zameena Par.

Bollywood Diva of yesteryears Rekha and Chhote Nawab Saif Ali Khan-Saifu have been chose for the Padma Shri award. Interestingly Saif's father and legendary cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi has also won the Padma Shri award in 1967. Others who won the Padma Shri include cricketer Virender Sehwag and badminton star Saina Nehwal.

Hot Deepika becomes Bollywood Hot Actor Aamir Khan's new guest.

The hottie actress of Bollywood Deepika Padukone was invited by Aamir Khan for a special screening of '3 Idiots' in Bangalore.

Deepika was in Banglore on the New Year evening with her family while Aamir was hosting a special screening for the IIM Bangalore students as the film '3 Idiots’ was shot in IIM Banglore Campus.

When Aamir came to know about Deepika presence in Banglore, wasting no time he called the actress following an invitation for the screening of '3 Idiots'.

Deepika was very pleased with the honor and joined Aamir with her whole family including her father, the famous badminton champion Prakash Padukone.

Deepika saw the film for the first time and enjoyed it throughly.

Who knows, Deepika presence in the screening might help her get a film with 'Mr Perfectionist'?

Looks like Bollywood Superstar Aamir Khan has become fond of Chennai as he keeps visiting the place regularly. Recently, after his visit to Chennai, he headed for Mahabalipuram disguising his looks. As he went around seeing the sculptures, he got friendly with one guide. As Aamir was chatting with him, he revealed his true identity asking whether he knows him. But Mr. Perfectionist of Bollywood was a little disappointed when the guide came up with a reply that he is not aware of any actors.

Naturally, it was Aamir’s turn to bring his rival Bollywood Badshah Shahrukh Khan into the picture asking him whether he knows that actor, only to hear the same reply. The Aamir asked whether he never saw any Hindi films. The guide replied that he saw only one Hindi film ‘Shalimar’ and further added he knew only Dharmendra and Bollywood Legend Megastar Amitabh Bachchan.

Aamir Khan gifted him a ring before he left. The guide also told him that he also wanted to gift and presented Aamir with a small Ganapathy idol.

Disguised Bollywood Hot Bold Actor Aamir Khan visits Sourav Ganguly's home in Kolkata.

Bollywood star Aamir Khan roamed around the streets of Kolkata in disguise as part of an innovative way to promote his forthcoming Bollywood Upcoming Film '3 Idiots'.

In a unique marketing strategy Khan has gone incognito before the film's release.

Aamir Khan walked down the streets of Kolkata and met locals. He also went knocking on the doors of Saurav Ganguly posing as a fan. But the guards stationed there failed to recognize him and disallowed his meeting with the former Indian cricket captain.

Later in the evening, he again paid visit to Ganguly's residence in his normal looks and met him. Aamir Khan wife Kiran Rao also accompanied him.

He spent the entire evening and better part of the night at Ganguly's house. Khan also presented a ring to former ace batsman on the occasion.

The star cast of the film, during a media conference held in Mumbai on Friday, disclosed that Khan would be on an adventure trip throughout the country for two weeks.

Earlier he went to Varanasi, which is her mother's ancestral hometown.



Khan has described this ploy as an 'Alternative Reality Game' (ARG) of Three Idiots, and whoever successfully identifies Khan in his disguise would be get free tickets for the movie and as a bonus Khan would spend New Year's night with the lucky winner and his family.

'3 Idiots' is the celluloid adaptation of author Chetan Bhagat's bestselling novel 'Five Point Someone'.

Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the film essays the story of three friends whose dismal grade point averages at the Indian Institute of Technology influence their friendship, love life and career choices.

Sharman Joshi, Aamir Khan and R. Madhavan who are starring together in this film, were also co-stars in the critically acclaimed 'Rang De Basanti'.

The film, set for release on December 25, has brought Khan and producer-director Vidhu Vinod Chopra together for the first time.

The film also stars actor Kareena Kapoor in the female lead.

Bollywood Hot Actor Aamir Khan said that he said sorry to Shah Rukh kids, not to him.

Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan seems to be in no mood to reconcile with Shah Rukh Khan, the Badshah of Bollywood as he sees no need to apologies to him.

"I haven't apologized to Shah Rukh and I see no need to do so. But I have said sorry to his children as they were hurt that I had written Shah Rukh's name that was given to a dog," Aamir was quoted by DNA as saying.

The two biggest Khans of B-Town were sharing cold vibes ever since Aamir wrote in his blog that he had a dog called Shah Rukh and it used to lick his feet. The comment left SRK and his children, who were Aamir’s big fans, really hurt.

And Aamir after learning that SRK’s children were upset with his comment and they no longer were his fans changed the dog’s name to Shaaki and apologized to the children.
