Bollywood Hot Sizzling Veer Stars Salman Khan’s large-hearted gestures aren’t new to Bollywood, and now even the firangs are getting a ‘taste’ of his spontaneous actions Recently, Sallu decided to have some ice-cream after he finished shooting a song for Bollywood Hot Upcoming Movies 2009 Veer in London.

Now, the actor not being the kind to enjoy an ice-cream on his own decided to treat the cast and the crew too. There were no less than 600 members on the sets, which included junior artistes as well as some local college kids who had participated in the shoot. But the number wasn’t a worry for Salman.

Producer Vijay Galani says, “We had many ice-cream vendors as part of the set that we had put up on a college campus. Once the shooting was done Salman bought the ice-cream from these guys and distributed it around.” What followed, was a huge ice-cream party that lasted way after pack up. Says a unit member, “He distributed 145 to 150 ice-creams to the foreign junior artists and they were, obviously, super impressed with him.” Now that’s one ‘cool’ act, isn’t it?

Bollywood Hot Actors News Gossips 2009 – Ranbir Kapoor beats Shah Rukh Khan (SRK)

Bollywood Hot Actor Shah Rukh Khan might be the undisputed King of Bollywood, but it's Ranbir Kapoor who reigns in the world of PR strategy and popularity.

In a survey conducted by Eikona, the Specialized Content and PR Measurement Evaluation Unit division of TAM (Television Audience Measurement) across four cities of Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Bangalore, Bollywood Hot Actor Ranbir Kapoor has got the maximum votes - 39 points out of 40 as the top actor who has garnered maximum publicity because of the publicity campaign generated for Wake Up Sid.

Bollywood Hot Actor Sanjay Dutt is a close second at (37). But strangely, SRK is at the bottom of the list (on number 10) in terms of PR and media coverage managing only 4 points out of 40. Even the media-shy Bollywood Hot Actor Salman Khan beats SRK with a score of 21 while Aamir tops Salman with 25. Hrithik Roshan comes third with a score of 32.

So what's the reason for this Kapoor boy's popularity?

Ranbir tells a daily, "I really don't know if I should be thankful or apologetic about it. I guess it's also because of the multiplex strike that three films of mine are releasing back to back. But I will make a conscious effort next time to space my releases."

In an interview to a daily, Karan Johar says, "If Ranbir tops the list it's because of his publicity done for Wake Up Sid for which I would like to thank his efficient publicist. I would also thank Ranbir for being so supportive about our PR strategy. Both Ranbir, my publicist, publicity designer Divya and Ayaan (Mukherjee) have all worked to promote and project Ranbir and Bollywood New Release Movie 2009 Wake Up Sid the correct manner. If Ranbir has created a buzz it's because we have targeted the demography of the youth and we all know that the youth dictates a large section of viewing audiences today. It's all about youth power."

Surprisingly, Karan's best friend Shah Rukh is seen at the bottom of the list. KJo defends SRK, "Shah Rukh is above any ratings. He won't come under any ratings. He is a national and international icon and not to be put into these ratings. Which product won't sell if Shah Rukh endorses it? He's almost the face of the entertainment world above and beyond ratings."

Bollywood Bold Akshay Kumar Actors Latest Gossips News

Bollywood Mega Star Akshay Kumar respected in martial arts.

Akshay Kumar, star of CHANDANI CHOWK TO CHINA and dozens of other high-profile action movies in India, has been honored by the local martial arts community by receiving a ceremonial katana and six-degree black belt in karate.

“This day has been a longstanding dream. Karate, along with my father, has made me what I am today. Goju Ryu karate has been the longest love of my life,” said Akshay.

Akshay plans to give back to the art that helped him become a Bollywood action icon. “I came into the film industry knowing only martial arts. Now I am doing as much as I can in return,” he said, adding that he intends to open a karate school. “I wanted to start my own school long ago but never got a decent site. I need about three or four acres for the project.”

Akshay is still relatively unknown in the West despite the recent international release of his latest film, CHANDANI CHOWK TO CHINA which Sony Pictures released in the U.S. earlier this year.

The handsome 42-year-old star has been a leading action star in India for nearly 20 years, despite broadening into other genres of late. Having entered the industry with previous experience as a karate instructor, he became known for performing his own daring stunts, most notably in the KHILADI film series where he had a reoccurring role as a James Bond-styled action hero.

Akshay has already starred in three other films this year and has at least four on the way including the sci-fi romantic comedy ACTION REPLAY, where he plays an elderly man who travels backwards in time to his younger years in the 1970s.
