(1) Ranbir Kapoor recently contributed solar lamps worth lakhs of rupees to the Purani Bazar village in Lakhisarai town of Bihar.
Solar power is an economical energy option for villages to use. The villagers are grateful to him as he sponsored solar lamps for their developing village.
While he is not very vocal about energy conservation, he believes in quietly doing his bit to prevent global warming.
As per Latest Ranbir Kapoor Interviews, he said that, "I did the little I could in my small way and I hope this encourages the youth to do the same. I am very humbled by the villagers' appreciation."
He was part of the NDTV Greenathon 2010 that helped raise money to provide solar power to 160 villages across the nation.
(2) He and Hot Katrina Kaif were lately hitting the headlines for their clandestine affair, will be seen flaunting their sizzling chemistry on the big screen soon. Both have been approached for playing the lead pair in the Telugu blockbuster movie ‘Magadheera' remake.
This movie will be directed by Rajamouli, whereas Madhu Mantena and Allu Arvind will be producing it.
