When I was in 2nd or 3rd grade, I cried until my parents bought a fake Christmas tree. We also had a can crusher that I used to happily flatten our aluminum cans so we could take them to recycle. And wherever I could I would ride my bike so I wouldn't create carbon emissions (although I wasn't even close to driving age).
